Objective To study the clinical application of the long-pulse 1 064 nm Nd: YAG laser hair removal, and to compare the efficacy of the two treatments vertical and oblique spot irradiation.Methods By group treatment, average hair recurrence in 12 months after treatment.Results The mean clearance was 8% to 12% higher and 2% to 6% lower than the vertical spot irradiation group.Conclusion Let the spot toward the growth direction of the skin hair, the probe and the skin into a certain inclination, relative to the spot vertical action on the skin, the curative effect is better.

Clinical application of long pulse 1064 nm Nd∶YAG laser in treatment of hair removal

[Abstract] Objective Study the clinical application of the long pulse 1064 nmNd∶YAG laser in hair removal, and compare the treatment efficacy of vertical spot irradiation with tilt spot irradiation.Methods  Compare the treatment parts’’ incidence of hair removal, hair regrowth and adverse the reactions 12 months after treatment by different group therapy.Results Compared with the vertical spot irradiation, the average clearance rate of the tilt spot irradiation is higer than 8% to 12%, and hair regrowth rate is lower than 2% to 6%.Conclusion The efficacy of tilt spot irradiation(a certain angle between the laser probe with the shin)is better than the vertical spot irradiation.

Since November 2010, a total of 541 patients in the medical cosmetology center, including 139 male and 402 female; respectively, 41 aged 18, average (24.5 ± 2.0), and 411 younger than 35.All the patients had no history of scar hyperplasia or other skin diseases, had not taken retinoin drugs in the last 6 months, and had not taken photosensitive drugs recently.Treatment site: 43 head and facial hair marks, 59 upper lip, 45 gills, 65 nod and neck, 74 axilla, 53 double upper arms, 173 double lower limbs, and 29 chest and abdomen.
